On Thursday, December 17, 2015, several attorneys from Fulcher Hagler LLP met at the Westwood Extended Care Home in Evans, Georgia to deliver Christmas gifts to some residents that may not have otherwise received gifts this season.
The non-profit organization When Help Can’t Wait helped pair Fulcher Hagler with Westwood. When Help Can’t Wait works throughout the year to supply very current needs for the comfort and convenience of nursing home residents that can’t be readily funded by the facility in which they reside. At Christmas, they partner with businesses such as Fulcher Hagler to “adopt” a nursing home so everyone, with or without loved ones, will receive a gift at the holidays.
The attorneys delivered warm, soft blankets to residents and they were a huge hit! Many residents opened them up and used the blankets while the attorneys were still in the rooms. There were many smiles that evening: the residents, who were thrilled to be remembered, the attorneys, who were excited to help bring some happiness and holiday spirit to the residents, and to the staff of the facility, who thanked us for bringing gifts and joy to their residents.
