Firm Wins Premises Liability Defense Verdict

Partner Art Davison recently won a defense verdict for a local restaurant which had been sued in Columbia County Superior Court. A customer had tripped and fallen in the parking lot, sustaining serious injuries requiring surgery. The customer sued the restaurant claiming that the parking lot was negligently designed and maintained.

After a three day trial in May 2011, the jury returned a verdict in favor of the defendant, finding that the restaurant had not been negligent. Art served as lead counsel for the defendant, and was assisted by paralegal Lori Mussman at trial.
