Mary Elizabeth Watkins

Mary Elizabeth “Libby” Watkins is an experienced litigator whose practice primarily involves defending insurers and insureds, as well as self-insureds, in general civil matters, including personal injury cases, premises liability, negligent security, civil rights disputes, and workers’ compensation claims.

Libby received her undergraduate degree from Emory University in 2009 and received her law degree with honors from Georgia State University College of Law in 2015. After completing law school, she returned to her hometown and spent several years as lead counsel prosecuting felony jury trials and bench trials with the District Attorney’s Office of the Augusta Judicial Circuit.

Libby was admitted to practice in Georgia in 2015 and admitted in South Carolina in 2019. She is also a member of the Augusta Bar Association and the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association.
